Retreat to Spirit:

A Fall Healing Experience

November 10th - 12th, 2023 | Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

A Fall Healing Experience.

There is guidance in nature. As the changing colors and falling leaves remind us, Fall is a time for deep and restorative introspection. During this retreat we will hold safe and intentional space for a like-minded collective to go within. Join us for a deep and healing journey into spirit.

Return to yourself.

During time spent in nature and in community with one another, we will use a myriad of modalities and traditions (Toltec, West African, etc.) to release those things that may be weighing us down and clouding our vision so that we may reconnect to our highest selves with both practitioner and ancestral guidance. Participants of this retreat can expect to leave feeling refreshed, restored and reconnected both to their sense of self and to their path forward. In addition to the all-inclusive programming for participants, those who choose to dig deeper will have access to spiritual readings through the sacred divination practices of one of the practitioners.

About Your Retreat Hosts

Sundiata Salaam:

Sundiata Salaam was born in Camden, AR to Robert and Linda Webb.  For as long as he can remember he always had an interest and curiosity about Spiritual matters.  Growing up Jehovah’s Witness, he recalled how he enjoyed going door-to-door on Saturdays, and answering questions from the Watchtower on Sundays.  During his collegiate years, Sundiata was introduced to African Spiritual traditions while reading about Sandy Jenkins in The Life and Times of Frederick Douglass.  When Douglass described him as someone who “inherited some of the powers said to be possessed by the eastern nations”, this peaked Sundiata’s curiosity in mystical Spiritual traditions.  Upon graduating, Sundiata attended Syracuse University and earned his Master’s degree in Pan-African studies.  Here he learned about many Spiritual traditions and completed a thesis on Spirituality and Resistance.  Sundiata’s curiosity led him to learn from Sufi masters in Turkey, and to study/practice with West African shamans.  He has sat with Toltec teachers and been buried in the earth by shamans from Burkina Faso.  Sundiata is a trained diviner in the Mami Wata tradition out of Benin and an initiate of the Moorish Science Temple of America. Ultimately, Sundiata has a deep love for how inner Spiritual work can transform us, and assist us in manifesting our best self during this life cycle.

Rebecca Williams:

Rebecca Williams is on a healing path. Her greatest lessons have come from the vulnerable spaces of starting from scratch after trauma over…and again…and once more. Thus, reaching deeply inward to find the resilience and solace that always abides in each of us has become a necessity in her life. Six years ago, while on a quest to regain a sense of self, Rebecca started practicing yoga and was surprised to find clarity and stability in the deep and expansive spaces to which the routine movement of energy through the body led her. After years of benefitting from the safe space the practice had offered her personally, becoming trained in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga under the guidance of Faith Hunter’s 200 Hour certification program, further afforded her the ability to create access to healing spaces for others also seeking a path to peace and balance. In 2021, Rebecca founded Curating Peace Yoga & Wellness, a comprehensive wellness community in which she uses varying modalities, including movement, breathwork, meditation, and visualization just to name a few. It is both a pleasure, an honor and a deeply rooted calling for Rebecca to do this work that both heals herself and reverberates outward to help others do the same. It is with great joy that she walks forward in this purpose.
